For many people, the new year is the moment to take stock. More exercise, healthier eating – and finally consistently building wealth.
My personal resolution has remained the same every year: saving regularly, investing with discipline, and being able to sleep soundly. It was precisely from this thought that Spargold was born.
For me, gold and silver are not speculation, but financial stability. For centuries, precious metals have preserved purchasing power – independent of currencies, political crises, or interest rate experiments.
What is particularly important to me:
👉 You don't have to be rich to save with precious metals.
Even with small monthly amounts, considerable value can be built up over time – completely stress-free and without timing risk.
Conveniently set up your optimized savings plans and check your holdings overview from time to time.
Many people do not fail because of money, but because of consistency. This is exactly why savings plans work so well:
50 € per month for gold
50 € per month for silver
These are amounts that hardly hurt in everyday life – but make an enormous difference in the long run. Those who try to catch the “perfect moment” often end up not investing at all.
One of the greatest advantages of precious metal savings plans is the Cost-Average Effect:
At high prices, you automatically buy fewer grams
At low prices, you automatically buy more grams
Over time, this results in an average purchase price that smooths out price fluctuations.
The result: fewer emotions, fewer wrong decisions – more composure.
Especially in volatile markets, this is invaluable.
In my own model portfolio, I have deliberately chosen different execution days:
Gold savings plan, e.g., on the 2nd of the month
Silver savings plan, e.g., on the 14th of the month
Why? Quite simple:
Precious metals react differently to market movements
Prices fluctuate not only monthly but also within a month
Different days further improve the averaging effect
This is a simple but effective strategy to further reduce timing risks.
Gold stands for stability, silver has strong industrial use, and platinum is a strategic metal with limited availability.
Personally, I consider a mix of several precious metals to be sensible – adapted to one's own goals and possibilities.
The important thing is not the perfect allocation, but starting at all.
For me, saving in gold and silver is not a short-term trend, but a long-term resolution:
regularly
transparently
understandably
with real physical value
The beginning of the year is precisely the right moment to question old habits and build new ones. Those who start today with small amounts will thank themselves in a few years.
My advice: Start. Not later. Not perfectly. But now.
Stay farsighted,
Yours, Helge Peter Ippensen
